Coventry Blinds & Shutters

Can tenants fit blinds in a rented property?

Tenants can usually have blinds fitted in a rental, but it is best to choose options that do not require drilling, and to check your tenancy agreement or ask your landlord first.

The issue in most rentals is not the blinds themselves but making holes in the window frames or walls. Many agreements restrict this. The simple solution is a no-drill blind. Perfect Fit blinds clip directly into the rubber beading of uPVC window frames with no screws and leave no marks, so they are ideal for rented homes and can be taken with you when you move.

Tension or spring-fit blinds and some lightweight roller systems also avoid drilling, though they suit smaller windows best.

If you do want a fixed blind that needs brackets, ask your landlord — many are happy for tenants to improve a property, and well-fitted blinds can add value. Get any agreement in writing.

We fit no-drill Perfect Fit and other rental-friendly blinds across Coventry, with free measuring and fitting and nothing left behind if you remove them later.
