Wooden or faux wood blinds — which should I choose?

The choice between real wood and faux wood blinds comes down to the room and your budget. Both look similar from a distance, but they behave very differently in heat and moisture.

Real wooden blinds are lighter, warmer in tone, and have the natural grain that many people prefer. They suit living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms in normal, dry conditions. The trade-off is that they cost more and can warp or crack if exposed to steam or damp.

Faux wood blinds are made from a composite or PVC material designed to look like timber. They resist moisture and humidity, so they are the better choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and conservatories. They are also more affordable and very easy to wipe clean. The main downside is that they are heavier, so very wide windows may need an extra support.

If the room stays dry and you want the genuine article, choose real wood. If moisture, durability, or budget is the priority, faux wood wins. We bring both to your home so you can compare, with fitting included.
